Kicking Off 2025 with Optimism

It’s hard to believe we’re already well into 2025! This is my first blog of the year, and with good reason—I wrapped up my MBA (finally!) and we celebrated Gary’s 60th in style. Not only that, but I managed to pull off a huge surprise, bringing his siblings from all corners of the world—UK, South Africa, and Australia—without him finding out! The look on his face was priceless.

To top it all off, we had a cowboy-themed celebration, which was an absolute hoot! Think boots, hats, and a whole lot of laughter. It was such a special way to mark the milestone and kick off the year with a sense of fun and connection.

Something I’ve noticed in the business world lately is a shift in mindset. After a tough few years, people seem ready to shake off the slump and step into a more optimistic outlook. And the fascinating thing? When we decide things are getting better, they often do. Of course, the opposite is true too—those who stay cautious often see their fears play out. It’s a powerful reminder of how much mindset shapes our actions, expectations, and ultimately, our results.

So, how are you approaching 2025? Are you feeling the shift, or are you still holding back? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

There are some exciting things in the pipeline this year, and one that I’m especially thrilled about is the launch of the Oasis Leadership Program. This six-month program has been carefully developed over the past few years through my work with leaders, and it’s designed to provide an intentional space for growth, reflection, and real results.

The program includes six overnight stays (from 5 pm to 12 pm the next day) at the stunning Zealong Estate, complemented by midpoint check-ins to maintain momentum. It’s a unique experience that blends deep leadership development with the time and space leaders need to think, strategise, and connect.

Why This Program?

Over the years, I’ve come to understand some key truths about leaders:

  1. Time is a precious commodity. Leaders don’t have time to waste. Taking time out to grow is essential—but only if it delivers tangible results.

  2. Growth is a priority—but making space for it is tough. Even the best leaders struggle to carve out time and energy for their own development.

  3. Leadership can be a lonely gig. Having a trusted space to share ideas and challenges—especially with those who truly understand the role—is invaluable.

  4. Working with people is both rewarding and exhausting. The more you care, the more complex leadership becomes.

  5. It’s all about the outcome. Every investment of time and energy must drive meaningful progress toward a leader’s goals.

I built the Oasis Leadership Program around these realities because leadership growth should be intentional, impactful, and worth every moment invested.

If this resonates with you (or a leader you know), I’d love to chat. You can find more details here: Oasis Leadership Program.

Let’s make 2025 a year of purposeful leadership and real transformation!
